Found you =0

I WAS WONDERING WHY I COULDN'T FIND YOUR STUFF ANYMORE!

And then I checked my review replies :)

is this finished? ((JK lol))

Only thing I would suggest, is to get a HUGE deep hardstyle kick going, the one in there is kind of wimpy for the song I think :/ otherwise this is pretty bomb! Finish sometime :D ((And let me know when))

Endeavour responds:

Hey there,
The kick i use here is just for the solo.
Im still thinking of a damn hardstyle melody for it.
My inspiration kinda lost me at moment, but soon i will have, and ill lengthen this song to 4 / 5 minutes.

Thanks for your reply =D,
Endeavour

Nice work :D

@Seamenn -- The whole point of uploading unfinished projects is to get HELPFUL reviews from other musicians so they can finish it and hopefully make it better and improve their skills as aspiring musicians themselves. As far as your review goes, it is just abusive and not helpful at all. Just facts for ye.

Review -- I like how the intro progresses and then just BLAM kicks begin :) and it is a pretty hard kick which I personally enjoy a lot lol.

I dunno if it's the crappy speakers I am listening with or what but I cant hear much of a bass line, that or the main melody is overpowering.

Which brings me to another thing, I would suggest more... hm, I don't want to say creativity because it is VERY creative indeed, but the melody is kind of normal and bland ye know? Needs more variation and feel to it.

Over all this was just missing a little bit of mastering, equalizing the sounds, and it didn't have much for emotion behind it, which is perfectly alright :D That's why ye just keep trying no?

So, PLEASE, make this a real song :D that would be awesome! Great work!

Where have you been XD

Your on my favorites list yet I haven't heard your stuff in a while!

Great work! Cant believe it's such a low score though :/ awe well.

In my opinion 2:40 is like the best part, where it drops from the classical feel into the more electronic, and then the pads fading in, its wonderful! But still, 3:11 gets better, not sure how I could ever tell you to make this better though :/

Oh my :O

Sorry it took me so long to get a chance to review your work! After listening to this I am surprised you 10'd my short little ditty XD This is wonderful!

Would you happen to be a pro at all? With iTunes albums and stuff? Because honestly I wouldn't doubt it :o...

((And I think your DJ name is pretty awesome hehe, Tuneit ;) that's really awesome! ))

Gosh this just gets better and better, thanks for uploading it!!

ah, I see

5/5
5/10 because it was just missing the other 50% of the song.

So did you just get the program? Because this isn't horrible, there just seems to be no advanced editing, like mastering or anything ((though the fade in of the synth volume was pretty cool :) ))

I would suggest editing the crap out of the drum samples, they sound to basic and general ye know what I mean? They need more life to them, more oomph on the bass kick, more like... reverb maybe be the best way to say on the hats and such.

I would also suggest a bass line, those are always nice. This is completely lacking in that area :)

Maybe an instrument actually playing a melody or something too, that is a good thing.

Try to play with the sounds you have, the best way to make something good, is to make it your own, take a sound and make it how you want it to sound, that way it isn't the exact same sounds as other beginning FL Studio users who don't know what their doing ((YET!!))

So, good luck! And nice work on the composing :) ADD STUFF :D!!

DJLIVEWIRE responds:

Thanks for the response! the reason why the song seems to be lacking is because i am currently using the trial version of FL Studios, so i wont be able to save. But, i will be posting an updated version quite soon.

Mastering?

The score writing is awesome, and I can tell where your going with this, but it really seems like all the sounds are out of control volume-wise and blending. I would suggest working on that ((Adding a limiter to the master fx channel and then adding random compressors to the high end instruments helps a LOT))

The drum samples sometimes just sounded like... not good, ye know? Over powering some of the more exciting parts, and then other times it just seems like about ready to blow my headphones apart ((And I am only at 30% volume, so... Mastering needs a lot of work))

So here is how I would break it down for you.

Mastering - 0/10 ((because it seems you didn't do any at all))

Effects - 4/10 (( I liked a lot of the random effects and sweeps and stuff, but the vocals were kind of painful, they were too high pitched and kind of scratched at the ears.))

Score Lead and Harmony - 9/10 ((I liked how you recreated everything and made it your own, that was awesome, but I couldn't really tell the whole thing because of the... not good mastering, or lack there of))

Score bass - 9/10 ((Same as above))

Over all - 8/10 ((Because I really like the song, and what you did to it, but it was painful to sit through the whole thing and that was disappointing, also, if I turned down my headphones I couldn't hear much more than static-like pounding...))

So, good work, but needs a LOT of mastering to make it sound better :D

I love your responce to the review bellow XD

And thus I will attempt to give you a very helpful and motivational review :D ((if I am even able lol))

First off, I LOVE the sound choices! Except for the bass that is during the main melody intro, that sounds really distorted and grated a little too much. ((And almost out of key due to such distortion)) I would suggest using a Bass that is more punchy and bouncing, not so much the super phat grated bass that is pure saw lol.

Now when I hear these songs, I am thinking of a story right, and this doesn't really give that feel, and I would have to honestly say it is because of the fuzzy bass, it just kind of kills the mood that I believe Boten Anna and Dota were supposed to have, ye know?

LOVE THE TOMS!! Don't change those ;) their wonderful.

The intro kick is pretty awesome not gunna lie, was expecting a little more though to be honest, and if at all possible I would love to hear a remade version of this with just MORE yes :D?

I think the main issue is the bass, the intro bass is awesome, but I would think a more punchy bass following the main melody would work very nice, and a sharper lead synth, it seems the high end of the sound is being killed with the bass and central spectrum sounds. Which can be good for hardstyle and more deep bass focused songs ((like DJ D'agustino's Bla bla bla)) But anyway, I would suggest making a stronger lead ;)

So over all --

1 - More punchy bass line that is more bouncing ((do you know how to make the basshunter bass?))

2 - Stronger lead synth!! Probably a saw instrument with a lower underlining plucked trance synth, that sounds awesome ;)

3 - If you feel like being brave, you can always change up the melody some, instead of doing note for note what basshunter does, because that adds personality and your own touch of character and your own twist to it, which is great for listeners to be able to pick it out and be all "Holy crap that is new but exciting!" So, theres that.

4 - Try and get some more FX samples, they help fill in a lot of dead time, you have a TON of exciting awesome ones in here everywhere, so don't worry too much about this one, just a thought ;) ((like random two word vocals and such))

Great job!!

St0rmChaser responds:

Wow that is one hell of a review.
That is exactly where i hoped for lol.
This helped me a lot, even so much that I got the motivation to produce again.
I also became a feautured artist with this account, which motivated me like hell aswell.

I will keep your points and criticm in mind for when I am making a new version of basshunter.
Right now I am working on Out of the blue remix. I remix it from the real version from Ferry Corsten (SystemF) you might know the artist.

Thanks for your support, and for the extremely great review =D,

Making anything new anytime soon :o?

I really miss your music :D Making any new soon? please!!

Should be faster I am thinking.

Love the intro :D

It seems kind of hollow though, and there isn't really a definite melody :/ I can kind of tell there is something, but there is a lot of other arpeggiates and stuff going on.

The kick, is not very fitting... ((In my opinion, I might be wrong))

But this definitely deserves much more than a 0 ((whoever voted that was crazy))

So I can actually see this being part of some old classic video game :) That said, I was very impressed around the 2:20 mark when that one synth came in, not sure what it was, but it sounded awesome!

Score:\/
8.5/10
5/5 ((because it was a'aight))

This is me.
